Buffets & Media Consoles

A statement-piece buffet will change everything—as a media console, an anchor for a room, a fixture in an office, kitchen storage, or positioned in an entryway…

KDBlueBuffetMy whole heart and soul went into this blue beauty. Blended shades of Dixie Belle Navy and teal. Every last detail adorned and hand waxed in gold. I can’t take credit for the top—that goes to my wood guy, John. It was replaced with stunning Black Walnut, in all of its natural glory. Truly one of a kind. (Custom piece; sold)

KDCreamBuffetDo people put a buffet in their yard? You could, in nice weather.

Here she is! Joan’s gorgeous vintage buffet in a dark teal and an antique glaze. Top in Antique Walnut stain. We kept those original pretty backplates, but decided to go with updated, vintage-look glass knobs from D. Lawless Hardware. I can’t wait for Joan to get it into its new home. Like so many of you, Joan has been a joy to work with. That’s my favorite part!

This dark piece is a design anchor for a room. Or your soul!

I worked on this hutch for Holly for a long time. Hard to take a photo of with the reflections, but it’s a beauty. Done in General Finishes Lamp Black and distressed. The inside and top are stained in Antique Walnut. I usually steer clear of anything with shelving, but I had to get my hands on this one, and it matches the buffet I recently did for her dining area. Cannot wait to see them both in a gorgeous new home!
