My name is Kimberly Konrath, and I’m the owner of KIMBERLY DESIGNED. I live in rural southeastern Wisconsin, a place marked by sweeping glacial hills and cornfields. Harsh winters and shimmering summer nights. Classic rock and country music. Like so many who do this kind of work, what began as a hobby is now something I share with my community. Furniture is not made like it used to be, which is why I’ve gravitated toward older pieces—bringing them back to life and giving them a home in contemporary spaces. My sense of decor is rooted in the small town I call home, but also connected to design trends used across the country and the world. I work slowly, intentionally, and my craft is my obsession. Beautiful furniture, full of history and character, can help save us from the difficulty of raising a family and teach us how to survive and renew ourselves in a strange world. We need spaces for ourselves and our families to truly call home, and I love helping to make that happen. Furniture and interior space formats our souls, and our souls format our spaces.
